Stirners second chapter is called "I" (Ich).

The first chapter is called "Man" and this split is targeting Feuerbachs book "The Essence of Christianity", which is split into "God" and then "Man". The latter is a work that secularizes Hegel, but of course Stirner in turn comes to even attack the humanism developed there. Arguing replaying God with the ideal of Humanity is spooky.

Indeed, the whole book (Der Einzige und sein Eigentum / The ego and its own / The unique one and his property) is all about the I, and includes an attempt of a Zen-like conceptualization of a "creative nothing" that doesn't need to hold on to any properties (in both senses of the word), one that only "consumes" (if you read the more theoretical, esoterically sounding materialist parts of Marx)

Being a Stirnerian egoist would require constant mental attention an is thus not feasible. Hence not being a Stirnerian even looks like Buddhism sometimes, where you turn yourself off and detach from lots of things others deem important.

The book is full of theoretical arguments and in particular also neglect that you're surrounded by very uneffective people all the time, who basically work against you and lead you down their paths.

How has becoming a conscious egoist actually changed your life and how you act on a day to day basis?

Me? I don't really know, except (and I know it will give credence to those who call Stirnerists edgemasters) I feel a bit less guilty when I do something selfish. I live for myself (and for my family...which I value) but don't give any fucks for the outside world, which I consider to be my enemy (generally, there are exceptions).
