You cannot be serious.

I rub shoulders with people who work on 3D displays, hardware engineers at Nvidia, and roboticists out of Massachusetts. Every single person would be happy to get into philosophical back and forth about the metaphysical, and even discuss the theological. It's an intellectually stimulating way to engage in recreation with your peers.

Your head is so far up your own ass that you cannot possibly see the recreational value of discussing complex cultural concepts. Why? Because some dipshit postdocs have a poor sense of work/life balance? Absolutely ludicrous. Enjoy your unhealthy obsession with innovation. I hope when it hits that all of these works will be forgotten and left by the wayside within a century that you don't have too much of a crisis over it.
