Proclus was Plato's greatest student. Proclus perfectly channels the spirit of Plato and doesn't have any retarded ambiguity that you find in Aristotle and Plotinus who both arguably butchered Plato's divine wisdom. Fuck Aristotle and FUCK that vegan Plotinus.

is proclus worth reading, if you've read all of plotinus? should you read commentary on parmenides or elements of theology? or commentary on timaeus? idk, by the end of the enneads I feel like it's all getting redundant

How can anybody claim Proclus wasn't divinely inspired when he managed to synthetize polytheism with Neoplatonism without incurring into contradictions?

We will never find intelligent civilized life anywhere else, even if we live for a million more years.
Such is this the center of all.

>when people describe the One as contentless awareness, as if it was awareness or the self or consciousness
>as if Platonism was some dichotomous midwit indian philosophy
>when that's the Indefinite Dyad (One-Being before self-intellection).
>when that repetitive autistic bald fat fuck who can't take a jokeo on the tube thinks Platonism is monistic or advaitic

>His appearance was most agreeable, for not only did he possess the beauty of just proportions, but from his soul exuded a certain living light, or miraculous efflorescence which shone over his whole body, and which is quite indescribable. He was so lovely that no painter was able to catch his likeness, and that in all of his portraits that are in circulation (however fine they be) there is still a lack of many features to represent his personality adequately.

Tolkien is the Plato of Fantasy.
Not their fault people can't top them without using them as a foundation.

In addition to the fourfold root, he said you need a good understanding of Kant; OR Platonism (neoplatonism); OR the Upanishads/Vedas.

Hence Time is truly, so far as it is considered in itself, immoveable; but so far as it is in its participants, it is moveable, and subsists together with them, unfolding itself into them.
It is therefore, eternal, and a monad and center essentially, and according to its own abiding energy; but it is at the same time, continuous, and number, and a circle, according to its proceeding and being participated. Hence, it is a certain proceedingintellect, established indeed in eternity, and on this account is said to be eternal.
For it would not otherwise contribute to the assimilation of mundane natures to more perfect paradigms, unless it were itself previously suspended from them. But it proceeds and abundantly flows, into the things which are guarded by it. Whence I think the chief of theurgists celebrate Time as a God, as Julian in the seventh of the Zones, and venerate it by those names, through which it is unfolded in its participants, causing some things to be older, and others to be younger, and leading all things in a circle. Time therefore, possessing a certain intellectual nature, circularly leads according to number, both its other participants and souls.
