i fucking hate americans especially when they talk about anything that isn't republicans and democrats. america is a disease to science, politics, religion, god, medicine and basically everything. they try to profit of everything removing passion and any human element from it turning everyone into retarded schizophrenic machines and they spread this to the entire world with their dominance and hegemony.
btw the ML party here literally calls trannies mentally ill and devoid of any sense of reality and Foucault was bullied out of the communist party of france because of their homophobia and prejudice

Trying to quit ideology is like trying to quit sleeping, you can't do it, and it isn't necessarily a bad thing it's something we need for our mental health, the only solution is to have self-awareness of yourself and your ideology and how it's affecting you, if you ever find yourself falsely believing that you're out of ideology then you're now truly within ideology.

I'm graduating later this year (Philosophy major) and am really interested in following the academic path and get a Masters/phD. I spent my early 20s wageslaving and got into college too late.
Is 28 too late for this? Most people my age already have phDs

Zizek weighs in on the refugee crisis. What do you think?

http://www.lrb.co.uk/v37/n18/slavoj-zizek/the-non-existence-of-norway

>In escaping their war-torn homelands, the refugees are possessed by a dream. Refugees arriving in southern Italy do not want to stay there: many of them are trying to get to Scandinavia. The thousands of migrants in Calais are not satisfied with France: they are ready to risk their lives to enter the UK. Tens of thousands of refugees in Balkan countries are desperate to get to Germany. They assert their dreams as their unconditional right, and demand from the European authorities not only proper food and medical care but also transportation to the destination of their choice. There is something enigmatically utopian in this demand: as if it were the duty of Europe to realise their dreams – dreams which, incidentally, are out of reach of most Europeans (surely a good number of Southern and Eastern Europeans would prefer to live in Norway too?). It is precisely when people find themselves in poverty, distress and danger – when we’d expect them to settle for a minimum of safety and wellbeing – that their utopianism becomes most intransigent. But the hard truth to be faced by the refugees is that ‘there is no Norway,’ even in Norway.

That feeling when the internet provides books, movies, educational resources etc either legally or illegally, through physical deliveries or online delivery, so well that going outside has become completely unnecessary for no friends people like me. Going outside and being a loner in the cinema / library / coffee shop / book store has become a hugely inauthentic and contrived affectation where, even if I ventured to do it and hope to meet people like myself, other people like me are deterred from leaving their house as well. The low probability of meeting others plus the morale hit i get means that 4chan is my only outlet. I have a brother about the same intelligence as me but much more ignorant.

Does anyone have these feels? I realised it after watching Zizek!, a movie made about Zizek by his female beta orbiters. He talks so much about "le hating humanity xD" but he's an old guy who probably avoids internet use and can look normal doing it, so he meets tonnes of people.
