How do you non-fiveheads cope with the fact that having a huge dome makes you a god-tier writer?

Akutagawa and Mishima are my favorite

I hate reading (because it's boring and tedious) but holy shit, his short stories are comfy as fuck. Why can't all authors be like him? Why must they use big words, and describe every little irrelevant detail?

I mean, he has a right to be one, he wrote some amazing stuff (Mori Sensei is one of my favourite short stories) but still.

What does lit think of akutagawa? im not, ot rather i never could into, fiction but recently tried some of his stories and im enjoying them.

and what about japanese lit in general? also read a couple of overviews and im feeling like this is my way into fiction.
