Guys, help.
Like I know my setting alone can carry a lot but it's not enough, I need to be good.

Both Planescape and Disco Elysium are extremely similar in their approach to dialogue, now is far more grand in scale but Elysium is extremely personal, Harry as a character and his skills. It's unique and very interactive, very complete and attempts to be literary in structure.
Disco Elysium is shit compared to the greats of literature, but as a videogame it's top 3. It has a massive personality in the way you see the world as Harry.

Hotline Miami has great writing and a part of me knows that I shouldn't be looking into Elysium and rather here. I've played and loved both Furi and E.Y.E and frankly, as a story, they're similar to what I'm trying to make. Complete coincidence too, never considered until now.

I'm trying to make a game based on a movie I'd love to do, but I am not trying to be a complete moviegame, it's about being a complete seizure, attack the screen.
But I need strong characters, very personal stakes.

Have you read the two bullshit posts I wrote here? The first one got me laughed at and now this, I am getting ready for my suicide attempt. There's no use, I don't have talent.

Thanks for the advice, so what do you think makes good writing on a videogame?
Maybe I'm limiting myself by wanting to be literary when I can't do it.
