I've liked TtH. A lot of shit didn't go the way I wanted it to, or took unexpected turns, but I am enjoying it so far and am interested in seeing where it goes, how it finally ends.
Archives say Dust of Dreams is a prelude to The Crippled God so I am expecting a lot of reveals and events and twists and kooky shit going down in the finale.

How is Timelike Infinity? I read the collection of short stories so I'm a bit curious about the inevitable transition to full novel. I actually read the first ~3 chapters and am enjoying it fairly quick although the interaction between Michael and his dad's Virtual came off as completely unrealistic. I hope the rest of the people in this novel aren't the same.

Shardplate is worn during battle but not a lot outside of it (unless the Shardbearer wants to show off or something). Shardplate weighs a ridiculous amount of weight and the Shardbearer has to have help putting on the armor, beginning from ground up or else the weight wouldn't be supported.

I've read the first four books. Should I continue with the series? I liked the concept of Itkovian, the Shield Anvil, and I feel like Karsa might have a nice adventure while everyone seems to rave over him but that's about it. Also I imagine Ben would pull some "according to keikaku" shit all throughout the series which would be amusing.

Yeah The Way of Kings is known for stretching waaay too far in its middle and the pacing is beyond horrible in that segment but shit gets pretty fucking real and when it happens, it's sudden and doesn't stop.

Also I'm convinced this "magic system" argument is a strawman as I only see it discussed by people who "complain" about people who bring it up and rarely otherwise.

I have to recommend Sanderson's Cosmere on principle.
