Mammoths were never domesticated

I cannot stop thinking about elephants. Theyre everywhere on 4chan, and it only just dawned on me how saddening it is that we live in an age where only two species of elephants remain. No pygmy mammoths, the size of cows, no giant steppe mammoths twice the size of African elephants, no woolly mammoths in the European forests, nothing.
