Hi /lit/
I'm about to start teaching English to my mother (inb4 teaching relatives = a bad idea).
Her current level is probably pre-intermediate/intermediate. My idea is to mostly use real-life materials since neither of us is really keen on using those glossy textbooks that basically look like printed vomit.
I'm looking for some websites (news sites, blogs, etc.) where I could find some interesting reading material suited to her level. Nothing too basic/easy; then again, I think she might find articles from The Guardian or similar sites too difficult and get discouraged too quickly.
Can you recommend anything? It can be stuff about current events, travel, literature, art, technology, cars, as long as it' relevant to actual life and interesting.
