By reading Plato and Aristotle one can quickly get to the conclusion that the Western Christianity is basically the Greeks with a cross on top.
Orthodox Christianity doesn't have this problem because it wasn't influenced by Augustine or Aquinas.

Don't get me wrong I love my Abrahamic brothers, and smoking shisha with the boys. I know people in my parish who have similar problems, and it all comes down to the figure of Christ. Having been raised in the west I can't avoid Christianity, it's personal, intimate, and an experience that makes sense to me. I don't want to dissuade you from the religious experience, but at the end of the day the Truth is with Christ. Beyond some beautiful cultural facets, I've never felt like Islam was for me. At most I appreciate Islam at a distance. Just reflect on the desert fathers and learn from their wisdom.

don't argue with prots who are sola scriptura, it doesn't get you anywhere. Just be like St Seraphim of Sarov and acquire a peaceful spirit and others around you will take notice and ask questions
