/lit/ is a shadow of what it used to be. I’m not the most knowledgeable around about philosophy and literature but even I can look at 90% of the threads and replies nowadays on this board and just be appalled at the lack of even basic levels of familiarity with the literary tradition and especially philosophy. I haven’t used this board very extensively since around 2013-14 but it’s degeneration since then is clear. Sometimes you can scroll an entire thread without getting to an educated, moderate opinion being espoused. What happened?
