How did Guenon (pbuh) manage to get into metaphysic but ignore some of the West's most enlightened mystics like Plotinus and others of the late Platonic school?

Did he even read Plato?

Did Guenon never reject the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, perennialism and so on, as he became Muslim? If not, how many Muslims understand he essentially believed Soul as a shred of God with pre-existence within the eastern equivalent of a Cosmic Soul and contained thereby within the other divine Hypostases (like the Intellective all the way to the ineffable One, which I presume he justified as the message of tawhid)?

Would they sperg out if they knew and call him kufar?

Thinking about converting to Islam but most muslims definitely seem to be mundanes who interpret the Koran very literally. Like for example, there is a surah saying "remember God" (this is obviously Platonic anamnesis and the soul's turning in on itself to contemplate its divinity), and they would no doubt be averse to that. You cannot be a materialist/atheist/nihilist (all the same btw) and call yourself A) a philosopher or B) someone interested in philosophy. Philosophy is just a wing of the West's mystery tradition, and is inherently a religious exercize and practise. Everything went downhill after Christianity arose, and the university system gradually bastardized it by scholastizing it. There was a time when science, religion, magic, 'philosophy' and so on, were all one.

People like Marx or Rand are the antithesis of philosophy. They want to lock you in the cave for all eternity, forever chasing the shadow of matter.

There hasn't been a real philosopher since at least the 6th century. There is no real distinction between philosophy and religion. Socrates had magical powers and all the saints of Platonism who achieved henosis likewise. There was a time when science, religion and philosophy all melded into one. Even sorta after Christianity helped start the decline into a crass corruption of Aristotelianism.
