America was founded on liberal philosophy. Conservativity in this country inherently trends liberal, though not in the same way other countries might define it as socialism never took root in the same way. The language is liberal, the grounding is left-wing, but more in the pomo way, the neoliberal way, the reduction to a universal medium of all things so they can be reshaped according to the will of multinational institutions and the terrible few heading them. Socialism is a manner of fighting this, however the american left's policies of forcing broad sexual liberation/reidentification and identity politics are more ancillary to the cause and can be detrimental as, while the inherent philosophy is good, the application is divisive and works against useful social structures rather than instilling class unity, national solidarity, and advancing a stronger-together ideology.
