Well first you need to be in a proper state of mind where you understand that nothing can really hurt you unless you let it.
>have problem
>don't care
>have no problem
Like that. Next step is to make sure your space is nice and comfortable to be in. This means cleaning your room or house and making it aestheticly pleasing. You should also find things to do that make you feel comfy, like reading a good book or listening to music or ambiance while you just hang out. For comfy weather I reccomed rain or snow and especially the fall and winter seasons. There are many more steps, but this should help you get started

What's the future of literature?

I have a concept for a story pls no steal, I'm only sharing cause I'm not super attatched to it.
It's about a guy who meets and dates four different women, each sort of personified by a different season, and each of them over the course of a few years helps him confront and deal with different parts of him he doesn't like- anger problems, timidity, etc. By the end of it he doesn't get any of the grills but he becomes a better person
only he doesn't because one of two twists will happen. Either he's schizophrenic and he imagined all of the girls and by the end he starts taking his pills again and they all go away and he's worse off than before, OR none of them were real because they were all AI constructs in a VR simulation and the situations and conversations were getting too complicated for them to keep up with so they start breaking down
Please don't steal this idea ive already got the title and have some stuff written for it but I'm probably never gonna actually make it but maybe idk don't steal please frens

>and there's that air of semi-public formality that makes it impossible to have a real contact
Well put. This is what didn’t sit right with me when I went to mass the first time. It felt like I just couldn’t have a real conversation with anyone there, sadly.

Great idea, but most of those books are awful. Instead of putting in the obvious popular stuff that gets mentioned everywhere, I think this chart should actually be high quality and skip all the books with snappy self-help titles and just focus on genuine helpful books that might or not be marketed as actual self-help (like stoic philosophy, for example).

Here's some that helped me a lot with my emotional problems:
>Feeling Good
Teaches self-help cognitive-behavioral therapy in a straight-forward way.
>A Guide To Rational Living
Teaches you REBT which is a CBT variant that's a lot less technical and more philosophical.
For some reason, this one made way more sense and made the whole cognitive-behavioral theory click.
>Social Skills Handbook
Teaches you basic social skills. The author is an actual autist that had to figure out everything on his own.
Even though I knew pretty much everything covered, it removed a lot of self-doubt and questioning myself at every point.

I'm after some books that explore escapism or have themes involving it. Can be fiction/non-fiction whatever. Cheers.

I want to write my stories. I've started multiple drafts. But I always abandon it because better versions haven been written by other people.

However, I've managed to write better versions of existing material but those are franchises and can't make money off of it. And are mostly seen as fanfic.

What to do?

I feel like what I want shouldn't be that difficult.

Something comfy. Should be a somewhat easy read, but not stupid. No normie shit. A little bit of thought provoking content is okay. But first and foremost, it should be enjoyable and contain good characters. Ideally, it should make me feel like the cat in my picture. Also, it should play in current times, not a history piece of science fiction.

The closest thing I can think of is something like "kitchen" by banana yoshimoto or "stoner" by john williams.

I know I'm shit at describing what I want, but if you can help me out I would be really grateful.

As long as you can support yourself, do what you love. If you can't find what you love, that's your life goal. Finding what you love.

If you regret what you loved later on... live and learn.

I'd say it becomes a library when you feel the need to start categorizing things so you don't get overwhelmed.
