I read Guenon's "introduction...hindu doctrines", Joseph Campbell's "primitive mythology" and Eliade's "the myth of the eternal return" before I read Revolt and they really helped I think. You have to kind of get into the headspace of traditional man.

I initially (years ago) started with Ride and it was impossible to read. Many of the people who comment on Evola seem to agree it's one of his more difficult works and not for the beginner. I would probably get it now but it was brutal when I first tried.

I am in between books and am about to start another work by Evola and I am choosing between two works.

I have read Revolt and really liked it -- I've also read Intro...Hindu Doctrines and Crisis of the Modern World by Guenon.

I am either going to read the Doctrine of Awakening or Meditation on the Peaks. I'm very interested in Buddhism (I don't believe as a personal life philosophy at this point, but I find especially the esoteric aspects fascinating) and so I was considering Doctrine but I also just finished a work that was a bit of a mental slog and so I'm considering a chaser, which might be Meditation. I'm interested to hear Evola's thoughts on mountaineering and it's relation to spiritual hierarchy and I hear it's one of his comfier works.

What should I do /lit/?

Don't read new canon, it's unironically gay and pozzed.

Start with the Thrawn Trilogy and then read the Darth Bane Trilogy and the Republic Commando Series. After that delve into the New Jedi Order, Dark Nest, and Legacy of the Force.

Again, resist new canon, don't allow Disney to retcon years of hard work by authors simply due to them wanting to release a bad cash grab movie series.
