How do you guys (excluding the NEETs) have the energy to read after work? By the end of my usual eight-hour shift, I can barely see straight, and coffee just makes it worse.

Sure, but it's a reality so you just have to deal with it. I'd love not having to work and did have a spell of NEETdom for a few years, but i have no choice but to wageslave now.

Your post encompasses exactly why i hate working. It isn't the work itself, even though it's mostly boring, it's bearable, it just takes up all my time and energy. I have no time in the week to do anything i'm seriously interested in because even though i do have a few hours free in the evening i'm completely drained and weekends just fly by.
