The 1844 manuscripts sound really great. My main interest in Marxist theory is to understand the economic/technological reasons for modernity. That's it. I completely reject revolt as a valid means to accomplish anything, especially since I cannot accept Marx's Hegelian sense that everything will just fall perfectly into place in the end. It's a naive hope, but I'll be damned if he isn't an amazing political and economic theorist.
