The real is the inexpressible thing(s)-in-itself, only recognizable when it ruptures through in the event, it is usually paired with the symbolic and imaginary (language and perception). Desire is ultimately the will-to-life or power. It is the vitalistic force of consciousness. Desire for Lacan is problematized by our desire for the other and the other's desire (which for him is an empty hall of mirrors of illusion). Drives our the various unconscious evolutionary forces that shape our existence such as eros (the love or sex drive) and thanos (the death drive).

Objet petit a would be the absent wholeness we seek. It is a hole for Lacan. Like desire. Deleuze takes it in a more productive direction.

Is there a chart for Deleuze? Can I just read D&R, LoS, and C&S and call it quits?

Had a very deleuzean experience as a crazy person but my recovery has been very much Freudian-Lacanian whatwith symbolic castration via medication and induction into the oedipal system and so on. Does this mean Deleuze is wrong or misguided? Does this mean that I am somehow a fascist for wanting to be healthy rather than insane? Please help.
