What are /lit/'s thoughts on Ayn Rand and Objectivism? I for one think it's wrong to continue to assert Laissez Faire capitalism, one because of the historical injustices that happened within its practice, also because it's economic naiveté. It's not even the most efficient or rational form of capitalism, kek. It also seems to ignore basic biological and sociological facts about humans, that they are necessarily communal creatures and that they both biologically and emotionally thrive in situations that encourage cooperation and dependence. It also presupposes that humans are necessarily self-interested and egoistic, but this, again, ignores basic anthropological fact.
It claims to be Aristotelian, but it only accepts the three laws of thought to be associated with Aristotle, yet they reject his hylomorphism.
It's just a shit show of a philosophy and factually incorrect on a lot of things having to do with human motivation, action, and cooperation.
