My younger brother (15) has just discovered Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro. As I walked into the kitchen today he asked me which of them I liked more.

Now, I am stuck with a dilemma. Do I tell him they’re hacks or do I let him figure it out for himself? On the one hand, my own intellectual development started with watching pop intellectuals such as William Lane Craig and, in some cases, the New Atheists; but on the other hand it seems like Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro are much worse than them.

What is your advice /lit/? Are there any books I should give him (he hardly reads, which is another difference between me and him when I was his age)? Serious ethical answers only please.
