I just read this and wow, was it boring. Some of the scientific discussion was interesting and the solution to the main mystery was neat (albeit ultimately pointless), but boy, the novel itself is as lifeless as its protagonist.

Are other Sawyer books just as dull? I want to read Illegal Alien because I love courtroom drama, but now I'm not so sure.

How's Sawyer? I saw pic related at the library and I really liked the opening paragraph.
Also I heard he wrote a first contact story that was also a courtroom drama, and I love both of those.
