Id like to get into Chinese poetry and philosophy, which type of Chinese should I learn? Mandarin or Cantonese? Or Am I better off trying to learn Ancient Chinese if its even possible?

should we replace le "start with the greeks" meme with "start with the chinese"? after all, they're the real pioneers of many philosophical endeavours and they actually fathered the very concept of philosophy way before the greeks, and while western civilization got atomized, china is the oldest living civilization.
