Is it possible for novels with more young-adult ish (for want of a better term) or fantasy/supernatural aspects like magic, superpowers, etc to appeal to older readers? I know those sorts of things are still popular among adults to an extent (Harry Potter being a good example) but for the most part they are ignored or spurned by the masses and more critical people (like those on /lit/)
