Why do people hate her?

Is there a proper chronological way to read her work? Would it be bad to read Capitalism: An Unknown Ideal --> Atlas Shrugged --> Fountainhead?

What do you guys think about Ayn Rand's work?

I enjoy reading Ayn Rand and I fundamentally agree with (and to some degree follow) the philosophy she expresses in The Fountainhead and to a long-winded lesser degree Atlas Shrugged.

I agree with Rand (and all those other neo-Aristotelian egoists) that man's highest value ought to be self-actualization. Indeed, man's reason is the only tool for understanding, and it is only with reason that anything can be measured relative to anything else. And so I think the self is not just necessarily the highest pursuit, but it is the basis by which all things are valued, and all things good are self-evidently aimed at that end.

Males are systemizers
Females are empathizers.

Yes, there are a few systemizer women (pic related) who confuse things, but generally, they don't have the inclination of aptitude for systemization.

So, you have emphatizers forced into systemizer disciplines, and there they just gum them up and run them into the ground.

The barriers are beyond low enough. Female systemizers find a way into their favored professions, they're just uncommon.

Same reason males don't tend to enter female dominated professions--there are few empathizer males.
