Thank you anon. Did you know that Simon de Montfort allegedly executed prisoners by tickling their feet with a feather? Personally I find the story unlikely (Havelock Ellis says there is "no reason to doubt it", which seems absurd). It is possible to die from laughter, of course, but most people are just not that sensitive to feather stimulation. That being said, I have talked to one person who is so excruciatingly feather-ticklish that they've lost their voice and even passed out from having their soles stroked with a feather. So you never know.

Yes, that's why it's so fun to take people by surprise and tickle their feet when they're not expecting that kind of intense stimulus (not that I do this, since it's a sexual interest for me, but it's cute to see it happen organically among friends or whatever).
