What if my "people" are a bunch of subhumans and I have no cultural heritage?

Is this picture supposed to resemble Lolita? She really does look like how she's represented in the book. those beautiful light eyes, light brownish, spread out hair and those cute red cheeks in a tanned, yet noticeably pale skin before, wearing a blouse on top of a nice comfy bed before getting fucked by Humbert at the end of Part I lmao.

I mean, in comparison to reading non-fiction. I like reading fiction but in comparison to what I find in non-fiction it just surprises me how I find more enjoyment AND learn more from the latter than the former. I learn so much more reading non-fiction, intellectual stimulation and pleasure. Maybe there is something I am missing here, literature books don't give me that much pleasure even though I'm writing one myself wtf. The last book I read and enjoyed was Lolita by the way.
