Why is contemporary African literature so bent on talking about how shit their country is? See any book written by an African and most of the time it's about a protagonist dealing with poverty, colonialism, slavery, etc. Naguib Mahfouz and Taha Hussein are truly the only exception to this.

If you’re like me you’re expecting something terrible right now: something globally catastrophic. It’s as though I can sense it in the air, waiting for everything around me to collapse. And what is all this anyways? Where are we? I can feel an imminent change to the existing infrastructure and global socio-economic status quo. Israel and Palestine are at wit’s end right now; the conflict emerging there concurs with the prophecy in Ezekiel 38. Does anyone else feel the end times are forthcoming?

I suppose man has existed long enough. It appears that the Age of Aquarius has arrived; the age of belief that preceded it is at risk of extinction. Humanity will come together and form a one-world currency and unity; the mark of the beast will be hidden in plain sight; people will have no memory of God--though indeed, they will have heard, but the leftist ‘I LOVE SCIENCE’ perspective will reach a point of no return: they will only believe themselves. Irony is a symptom of this coming age; it is a coping mechanism for the biting reality that we do not know where we came from and what is after death. In high laughter, the peak of irony’s deconstruction of meaning, Christ will return like a thief in the night: it will take you by surprise.

It is already happening. The Great Reset agenda is spreading to world governments. We’ve been in a pandemic that just shook world-systems at their core: life and death. The concept of society we were used to in 2019 may never be the same.
