Fact is body building is a form of idolatry or just plain hedonism which leads to the same thing. All the problems we have in society today can be traced to idolatry or defying God's will. It doesn't take a genius to understand this. You just have to be honest and read the Bible and not buy into the idolatrous lie of the roman testament.
Of course we should all be healthy but idolisation of the human form is a retardation of human development. This is why we should strive to realise our Divine image.

3. Your wrong. Most people were more skeptical than ever about humanity and our fate after the atrocities of the first world war. Your probably just an insulated middle class american zoomer.
4. The rise of hedonism and the short-circuiting of the brains limbic system in response to the hightened stimuli pumped into the public domain by the media. Check out the documentaries 'the century of the self' and 'hyper normalisation' if you haven't yet already.
