Why was Odysseus so stupid?
He fought greatly in the Trojan war and got all the honour to make sure his name will be remembered forever.
Then he gets lost at sea and somehow makes it to the island of Ogygia where he gets kept and cared for by Calpyso for 7 years.

Now here's his choice:
Take the risk of travelling the sea again just to see his old wrinkly wife that has probably been railed by multiple dude by now or stay on Ogygia with a literal Goddess that'll stay young forever, fuck him every night and love him unconditionally until he dies one day. Everyone will think he died, but his honour will still live on forever, no matter if he returns or not.

His reasoning makes no sense. So here's my question: Is Homer a shit writer or Odysseus a retard?

Pic unrelated, it's a siren not Calypso.

Do you believe that one can come to a point where one has read enough books?
To a point where you've read many books and you choose some of them as the best/most valuable and just keep rereading those.
Wouldn't it be better to read 10 books 10 times each rather than reading 100 different books once?
