As bad as Bakker is, I can't take criticism of him on this board seriously because nine times out of ten it's coming from people who unironically enjoy F. Gardner-tier Chinese webnovels and the works of Patrick Rothfuss.
Bakker is just par for the course, sci-fi and fantasy authors tend to be pretentious retards with massive chips on their shoulders about "real literature." I could name a dozen writers who are just as obnoxious as he is, pic very much related.
