I tend to be extremely fixated on things. Whether reading a book, working on a project, any kind of task, I get completely absorbed in it and time seems to disappear. But my current fixation, for some time now, has been these recurring horrible thoughts which invade my brain and seem to poison the fabric of reality itself. Like I said, it can be so overwhelming I am unable to function. To me it seems like more than "you just have bad thoughts, think happy thoughts." The other day I broke down screaming and crying because I couldn't stop thinking about horrible stuff happening to people I love.

I've tried some, and they just made me more aware of this terror I feel. How can people drink alcohol and not want to kill themselves? How do people smoke weed and not freak out out of fear? Last time I smoked weed, I could sense the Eye of God looking down on me through all of existence, looking through the infinity between us, through skies and stars and clouds and stone, and LOOKING at me. I tried to run, I tried to focus on food or porn or anything to take the mind off the Eye following me, but it was impossible. Eventually, the stress and fear caused me to fall asleep from exhaustion. Alcohol is much the same, it opens my mind more to the endless horror of being, and makes it impossible to think of anything else.

I don't fucking get it. I've been trying to wrap my head around the cryptic fucking scriptures of eastern thought (hinduism, buddhism, taoism, zhuangzhi, whatever) for ages but it all makes no sense. I can understand it intellectually but it does nothing for me spiritually. No revelation, nothing. In a desperate attempt I even turned to the scuffed syncreticism of gnostic christianity, thinking it'd be more suited to the western mindset I'm inundated with; All one big mistake, gnostic scripture is even worse:
