The previous thread devolved into a verbal-diarrhea contest. Any thoughts on this week's sections?

Join your fellow /lit/izens this February and March in reading (or re-reading) David Foster Wallace's posthumously published novel of American ennui and tax codes, The Pale King.
As of today (EST), we're on the final day of week one of the group read (Sections 1-9) and the last thread really probably could have had a couple more days before hitting the bump limit, so feel free to continue discussing those sections.
That being said, in the interest of generating discussion early on in the thread, I say we open the floor to conversation about Week 2 material (Sections 10-21).
Trying to limit discourse to the sections specified here will hopefully assist in more in-depth discussion, as well as better allow those who are following the reading schedule more closely (whether out of choice or necessity) to participate.

"I overestimated my ability to check in on /lit/ every few hours and let the thread die" Edition

Join your fellow /lit/izens this February in reading (or re-reading) David Foster Wallace's posthumously published novel of American ennui and tax codes, The Pale King.
We'll be reading through it over the course of 6 weeks starting in mid-February, so there's still time to pick up a copy if you're interested but don't currently have one, and the pace should be relaxed enough that those of us without much free time to devote to reading can stay up-to-date.
I'll try to keep threads with this info alive leading up to then, and I'll make sure we at the very least have weekly threads up for discussion on the current sections.

Suggestions on timing or making this more interesting or more group-oriented are welcome, but so long as we're reading and discussing, I know I'll be happy.
