I thought haikus were cringe in other non jap languages because they fail to encapsulate the nature aspect and (the non asian languages) fail to condense as much information and poetic meaning

How do I develop the habit of reading? I am the typical zoomer, used to instant gratification, which makes my relationship with books very difficult; I particularly would like to read several works, I just can't.

Should I keep reading up on the definitions until I understand the entirety of a single topic and repeat for every subject I wish to understand, or would it be better to seek a teacher at this point?

I'm writing an espionage/action type book that contains a lot of the main character walking around and traveling, going from one place to another. How do I keep these parts interesting without putting in tons of repetitive action sequences where he just shoots a bunch of people?

Do I fill in these spaces with character development/a look into the character's own philosophies? Or do I just skip these parts entirely starting and ending each part with the character already at a main location?

Why do some books have two titles? Examples

Moby Dick; or The Whale
Candide, or The Optimism
etc

Is it because the author was unsure between the two? Or is it done for effect?
