I believe this was the beginning of a major Laken hate movement in the readerbase. I mean, it sucks because we as readers know it was wrong, but from Laken's point of view it was an excellent choice. It was the right choice if he was attacking monsters, the only problem was he wasn't aware the goblins' weren't his enemies. If this was Lord of the Rings and Goblins were Orcs, no one would bat an eye. But you should finish the entire arc until talking about it, and that might take you still around ten more chapters.
