every attraction is a “fetish” just that they are fetishes correlationg with biological motivation which are influenced by what deviation is acceptable enough to pass down genes.

We hijak motivations by directing them to other means, same as why people watch tv ir something, hijaking the motivation to learn and experience things that might help us survive towards more casual persutes. Like that experiment with the mouse utopia where homosexuality increased exponentially when they didnt have many unsatisfied needs.

Or how tropical birds have ornate phenotypes and rituals, not because they in themselves increase competitivity as a species, but because they have enough excess wiggle room to develop them.

they are acceptable deviation from efficiency in context. Just like other human social trapping. not that there is a “right” motivation if course, its just that the motivations correlate in a bell curve towards what is a viable recursive model.

its a social phenomenon and often what is deemed acceptable changes by society and time. degrees and types of excess is looked down on or seen as acceptable.

sexuality didnt develop before reproduction, but is an abstraction and utilization of the motivation (get your rock off) developed by it.
