there is not, that's the point, if you are rich. THe rich have access to a wider spectrum of entertainment and the latest toys.

It is a natural situation, given the power of our technology to ease our lives, people want more and more .
Technology is all about yield, which permits the flight of our hedonism. Technology (in science or art, since this dichotomy is phony) is the human nature, always a better yield benefit/cost, pleasure (before, during, after)/pain(before, during, after)

Pleasure is what makes most of us feel alive the most, especially the poor.
it no longer makes sens to stand outside hedonism.
Think of the usual fallacies found typically in the entertainment industries or evenning events were people say ''how do you know that you do not like it, if you never have done it'', or even ''how can it bewrong, when it feels so good''. This is how you perpetuate hedonism.
I do not think that is bad nor good tbh. It is really our nature, and most people on earth are not meant to step outside hedonism, and they love it anyway. Why do you want to change people ?. Those who do leave hedonism and are not fit for another world will become sad/depressed/suicidal (in terms of the hedonists), or will be in another world so remote form hedonism that they will no longer feel the need to be vocal in the society.
