Just finished this, and Sailor Who Fell From Grace... before it, liked Sailor more but still adored Confessions. It seems the best place to go from here would be Temple, but what background do I need for the tetralogy? Extremely interested in it

Which books deal with being a talentless artist? Someone who couldn't make a good piece of art even if the planets aligned and every opportunity ever possible was granted to him? Someone whose best outcome is becoming one of the many in the shadow of people who are truly Great?

There are many books about talented people set back by their inner demons and their unfortunate circumstances, but I wonder if there are any about the reverse.
