What about those studies on the effects of human cognition on random number generators? Those things freak me out.

I didn't have a normal or good childhood. Growing up I never read and as such missed out on children's literature that could have helped nurture my development in the formative years.
Would it be acceptable for me now, as a 20 year old adult, to go back and read kids books and fill in the missing gap in my reading years and maybe capture a bit of childhood I never had?

I'm talking Road Dahl and Doctor Seuss, not Dickens.
