I made these charts. I hadn't read most of the books on the chart I made so I don't know.

Infinite Jest and White Noise have been the most burgerpunk books I've read recently. But they don't quite capture the vitriolic trapped-in-a-concrete-cage-with-neoliberal-schizophrenia quite right.

Here's my shitty attempt at writing it. It took me a while to realize the mode of feeling burgerpunk isn't a rabid irony, it's a slow morphine drip of settling for less, and I don't think I did that well in the first few things I wrote.

That is one interpretation. One of the main arguments in the old threads was the two main thoughts of those who live in the US and those who don't. It was the double layer of irony vs experience kind of thought problem. Some people just took it to /pol/ extremes for the shitty joke while others too it at the meta ironic level for the sake of it existing.
