He’s a clinical psychologist with decades of experience in both therapy and teaching. Why wouldn’t he be qualified, objectively speaking? I get that it’s very fashionable to hate on Peterson, but if you only offer exaggerations and hyperbole to how supposedly terrible he is, it shows you haven’t actually listened to him - that is, listened to his words coming out of his literal mouth - and are instead hating him because a bunch of leftists on YouTube and Reddit told you to hate him. At least contrapoints, despite being critical of him, was honest and pointed out how most leftists simply go after anything he does and says just to demonize him. Like saying “clean your room” is pretty generic and inoffensive advice, if you try to shit on that then you’re just forcing yourself to hate him.

In regards to the benzos thing, this is literally explained on his Wikipedia page. He has a history of depression, for which he takes prescribed medication. Then his wife got cancer, he became more depressed, his doctor upped his dose which had very bad unintentional effects, he tried to go off it and experienced withdrawal, then he had to seek help with that. But I’m guessing this story isn’t helpful with you want to shit on him, so let’s forget about it.

False awakenings fascinate me and scare me.
Sometimes, when they happen in a loop, it makes me wonder if they were real, but the day reset itself because that reality would have ended tragically or in death, or some way that was not otherwise preordained. It's an untenable belief, entirely subjective, etc, but instances like this make me wonder if it's all one big simulation. Usually when they happen in large loops (i.e. keep waking up within dreams), something bad is happening to me or someone I know. The most recent set, I was waking up in different places (in the false awakenings, not real life) such as my car or where the laundry is done, which is a first and extremely peculiar. It felt real. So real that I was afraid I was about to sleep drive. How can the dream world, especially in the state of false awakenings be so real? The temperature, the color, the coldness of being in the car at night..... It all was totally consistent with reality, even sleep paralysis can occur within these dreams of waking up. It felt real. Too real.
