i post the PDFs behind a password wall on my own website.
i have literally no idea what IRCD, UPP, etc. even refers to. i'm a luddite, fundamentally. to be frank, i just have the bankroll/connections to sustain any possible legal threat and therefore don't really care on that front; having said that, i'm also not looking to unnecessarily provoke. offering the books freely through a controlled "academic" space that i fully regulate enables me to sidestep the problem virtually entirely.

provocative. i'll go as obscure and expensive as need be.

what is your own interest in the field of mesoamerican studies? what's the inspiration?

yes, at this point i have access to resources that equal any top-tier university library, with connections for rarities that extend beyond that scope.

my workflow needs some time to readjust. pre-covid had two full time people working for me and for the project. i have since put those jobs on furlough upon their request; i myself dick around with a scanscap sv600, so i'm not doing personally doing anything very large project-wise. i don't handle the heavy scanning because that's simply not what i like to do and i have a full career IRL outside the library, so just don't have time. that's to say: things are very, very slow right now, almost at a dead stop, trying to figure out what a "new normal" workflow might look like. for the most part, i've been constructing requested reading lists for anons instead. will be back in full operation soon.

i'd be very interested in the possibility of collaboration. others have reached out with similar proposals before and it has gone extremely well; the possibility of building a full consortium has been tossed around in the past. let us discuss further, friend: pykewater@gmail.com

also, please note: i understand people have access to libraries and librarians, as well as libgen, etc (please see my external links page)--all those are valuable resources, and i encourage you all to explore them fully.

i hope only to offer another alternative for explorations into "deep" knowledge regarding the selected topics. i do not intend to take the place of more general libraries--only as a supplement.

any feedback is appreciated. i would like to sublimate and transform this thing into a public, shared, valuable common function/project. please help me supply you all--especially those who don't have access to academic libraries--with what you want/need.

Are there any serious cultural critics or philosophers that have a negative outlook on the internet's impact on society?
It seems like such a momentous, unstoppable force, and the analysis of its impact never seems too deep.
