How are authors OK with having such painfully bad, 2 dollar cosplay tier covers? I know that "you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover" but it is LITERALLY the first thing you see about it. It's the thing that yells out "pick me up" in the store. The thing that has to grab your interest. How do these conversations go? "Hey Brent should we get and Artist to make a cool cover for your trilogy?" "Nah, just use some stock images of Ninja/Assassins. That'll do" Have they no pride in their work? Do they simply not care? Or do they actually think those are amazingly cool pictures that capture the spirit of the book?
