The comfiest feeling achievable in this world is reading an old leatherbound edition of your favourite classic author while sitting in your luxurious reading armchair in your personal library, with floor to ceiling bookshelves full to the brim of thousands of great books, while hearing the crackling of the fireplace, the wind blowing and the gentle tap of the light rain on your window.
That is the closest a person can get to Heaven. You are just a stingy poorfag.

One of the comfiest feelings is knowing you will never run out of things to learn and wonderful literature to read. It doesn't matter how old you are and how much you know, there are still surprises at every corner, hidden gems everywere.
This completionist mania is a product of our consumerist society. Just enjoy the travel.

Imagine a world where any moderately well-read and cultured person reads Horatius, Virgil, Seneca and Cicero in their original language. All the while accesing the most significant medieval theological works easily and cheaply.

What are some comfy books on cults and fringe/small scale organized religions?
I'm interested in all aspects. Philosophical, psychological, sociological, organizational and political.
Not really interested in books about specific cults (e.g Branch Davidians history). Want something general.
