I don't understand how people flock to these type of ideas? Maybe post PoMo 'genre' books are uninspired and banal but theres no reason to say this when theirs tons and tons of "genre" fiction that has undeniable influence and in turn can be "good". Putting yourself in a bubble off influence of a fad is only degrading to your own character, but if you don't like genre fiction you don't like it but to say all of is bad is purely ignorance
