I'm too early to say whether or not it's good, but it seems promising. The language is pleasant, and while it has an AAAA rhyming scheme with suffix rhymes quite often, it still doesn't feel tiring, especially how it avoids idiotic a lot of poets from eras past fell into, which is using a verb expressing existence, ending each line in something that means approximately "this it was" or "thus it happened" "thus it came to be", which gets incredibly grating by the end of the first verse.
Now I'm just hoping it has heroic qualities that rival the Nibelungenlied, the best epic that ever graced humanity, but I doubt that's the case, since it's not a "personal revenge" story, but a Christian epic in the vein of Tasso.
