Do you guys know any authors you would recommend who do particularly evocative descriptions of landscapes and the beauty of nature?

Other than the Romantics and other German philosophers of the 19th century who are some people who thought politics and life as a whole should be concerned with aesthetics and beauty?

Beneath the orange street lamps' glow, there on the doorstep, a decade ago, you pulled me in. It was baptism, leather and smoke, the warmth between us in direct defiance to the stagnant Appalachian chill. Every morning the uncut grass, the empty bottles of Maker's Mark, the sidelong sneers, this game we play where we cast stones without ever deigning to pick through the rubble. Still, there is a foundation here. Orange street lights. The winter wind. Your leather jacket and my thrifted hoodie. The moon rises and you become a beacon, angler fish in deep waters, a dangerous light in the endless void. I think about the want of a moth. I think about the lower depths, and how much further I still have to go.

I was just listening to that for the first time in months. to me this is the ultimate musical expression of the black pill. of being a european, of being a man among the ruins. of being someone who sees absolutely everything good in the world degrade and die, everything they've ever appreciated. and there's just no hope. everything will be nigger, everything will be consumerist trash, everything will be leftist.
>Under the iron bridge we kissed
>And although I ended up with sore lips
>It just wasn't like the old days anymore
>No, it wasn't like those days
I feel it like a literal physical wound in my chest. a leftist could never understand. a leftist is a literal subhuman worm. it's just such a lowly creature it could never understand the soul pain of this song. and it's writhing. and this pain how does a human deal with it? it's impossible, it's just too final, too utterly hopeless. all you can do if you even want to function at all is to choose to numb yourself, to repress it. to become an unfeeling animal.

Guys I’m looking to begin learning a language, thinking French then learn German then hopefully Latin and/or Greek.
My question is with lockdown can I become somewhat fluent in French- to the point of being able to read French books without a teacher? Through books mainly as I find I learn better through reading

Existence is good. On the human level it can be evil because we are blinded by our limited knowledge of the world and by our passions. If eternal life is real, anything that happens on this earth is justified, either by free will, or by the evil we commit. You cannot convince me that existence is pain and suffering because of our anecdotal experience of the present. If we are to zoom out, I believe we would see the world for what it truly is. We would see the beauty of God's creation, not the shallow view of what we want to happen. Do not curse the world and God because you stubbed your toe.

How do you deal with the problem that there are many conflicting opinions on the truth, and the arguments for each inexhaustible? Or that there's so much to learn?
>Perhaps we all lose our sense of reality to the precise degree to which we are engrossed in our own work, and perhaps that is why we see in the increasing complexity of our mental constructs a means for greater understanding, even while intuitively we know that we shall never be able to fathom the imponderables that govern our course through life.

It seems sometimes that this inherited momentum we recieve from our ancestors is like an egg, or rather a skull. The longer it has been perpetuated, the more it calcifies. After a certain while, the only thing capable of putting a pause in that momentum is a disruptive traumatic experience that breaks that egg, skull. It seems like the world is trying to manifest a grand traumatic experience for itself to break itself out of its eons of calcification

We are trying to manifest the perfect collective trauma to break from the past momentum and begin anew
