In that case, I should be an acceptable judge for you. I have read up to page 96 (and then I got distracted by some other works). Most notable to me so far is his analysis of how Boas cultivated a crew to stifle discussion of anthropological views that were counter to Boasian works. There is no bombastic diatribe. You can question whether or not MacDonald's criticism is valid - but it is substantially well researched criticism.

I recommend that you skip most of Psalm unless you are really into it. The repetition broke my will to continue for quite some time. I believe there was a precursor of repetition in an earlier chapter. If you are getting bored then skip ahead - that's better than stopping altogether.
