I've got a relatively un-developed theory that goes like this. The self-help gurus that dominate YouTube are all saying the same thing with different metaphors. Learning material arts or guitar or lifting teaches you the act of DIY which technology aims to reduce. Automation and design also flatten the knowledge required to learn anything. So if most people never learn to learn as their devices or interactions with the world is reduced to smaller and smaller state spaces they become useless. To be useless in a social species could trigger some group survival mechanism to off yourself in the long run. Anyway NEVER OUTSOURCE ANYTHING until you learn to learn.
