Roman Catholicism claims Mary is sinless, a co-redeemer, a co-mediator, and even the cause of salvation. Those are attributes only given to God in Scripture. That's a clear deification of Mary, but they don't care since tradition and man's word is more important to them than God and His Word.

They also teach Mary is omnipresent and omniscient, they claim Mary can hear and discern what one Papist's "hail Mary" vain repetition means on one side of the planet while claiming she can hear and discern what another papist's "hail Mary" vain repetition means on another side of the planet. They also claim their pantheon of gods (they call them "patron saints") can also hear and understand Catholic prayers in a similar manner, that's another deification of mortal man.

That's just what they're indoctrinated to believe, how the Roman Catholic cult lies about history and claims Peter was a pope (just read his epistles, they refute Catholic doctrine and practices, e.g.: he clearly says Christ suffered *once* for sins not continually at communion every single week and he never gloried in himself or gave glory to Mary or his brothers, only to Christ).

The thing Catholics refuse to accept is God hates their traditions, their god is their church and their church loves their traditions. They also refuse to accept authority of the Scripture, to them man is the authority, their pope and bishops, rather than God's Word, and they only use scripture to support their doctrines/practices otherwise they ignore it entirely.

Jesus plainly said call no man "Father" as well. It doesn't matter what mental gymnastics you cultists try pulling, you're disobeying God. And there's no defense for giving the antichrist popes a title like "Holy Father" which is reserved for God Almighty. Papism is man-worship, the worship of man.

Christ never said "you are the rock" in Matthew 16:18. He says "and this is the rock". If you would care to read the entire chapter, you could see that he is referring to the confession of faith made by Peter.

Both Chrysostom and Augustine corroborated this view.
