I always know when a girl comments/makes a thread on /lit/ and we are clearly better readers and have better taste than the average /lit/ poster, yet men keep talking about how women don't read and how bad female authors are (while actually never reading them). Women who are into literary fiction and philosophy often have studied way more than men, are more specialized and at the same time open to more authors, while lots of men come here after reading Crime and Punishment and other entry level books for the first time and think they know everything about literature. Everything most young men worship on /lit/ is stuff women who post here and other older male anons read in their adolescence. Really makes you think.
